I leave tomorrow for la France! I have been packing and repacking and planning and preparing for months. It's been almost a year since I began the application process for this program--I can't believe it is actually time to go!
I spent the past weekend in Chicago. I'm going to miss that place. Mike and I went to this little German bar that had a German band playing for Oktoberfest and we drank German beer. It was as if I was already in Europe. :) Mike also participated in their German parade by playing an instrument called "the crazy stick." It was basically a stick with every percussive option possible.
Anyway, I am anxious to get through the first stressful travel day and get settled in Pont-a-Mousson!
